5 political prisoners, together with two resistance fighters, escaped from Pakokku Jail in Magwe Area on Saturday morning.
The 5 had been on trial for opposing Myanmar’s regime after they escaped. They created {an electrical} fault and climbed the jail partitions at evening, in keeping with media experiences.
Resistance teams rescued them and despatched to a liberated space, in keeping with the Younger Pressure (UG) armed group.

“They escaped by themselves. They had been injured after climbing partitions and barbed wire fences. They stated they fell off a wall due to electrical shocks,” a UG member instructed The Irrawaddy.
