Former Lenawee County Prosecutor Irving Shaw Jr. dies at 91

Irving Shaw Jr. served Lenawee County as a prosecuting attorney and lawful counsel for 60 decades.

His friends and colleagues are remembering him for that perform, but also for his appreciate of animals, his kindness and generosity, his several passions and hobbies, and his intelligence and memory.

Shaw died Dec. 23 at the age of 91 from difficulties of congestive heart failure.

He commenced doing the job as main assistant prosecutor in 1961, about a calendar year following earning his regulation diploma at the College of Toledo, and he did not completely quit operating for the county until the pandemic forced the county to make some spending plan cuts in 2020, and his position in the prosecutor’s business as counsel to the board of commissioners was eliminated.

“He beloved his work. He liked his colleagues. He was really, totally enmeshed in that neighborhood,” his daughter, Alix Shaw, mentioned.
