
ELKINS — Davis & Elkins College or university will open up its spring lecture series, sponsored by the Morrison-Novakovic Center for Religion and Community Coverage, on Thursday.
Allyson McKinney Timm, founder and government director of Justice Revival in Washington, D.C., will be the featured speaker for the 7 p.m. function in Myles Middle for the Arts.
In her lecture titled “Reconciling Faith and Human Rights? An Advocate’s Working experience Grappling Perennial Tensions over Gender Equality,” Timm will take a look at the complex romantic relationship between religion and human rights and, in unique, perennial tensions about the situation of gender equality.
