“In that report there is no one point out of police casualty, not even a point out of what they shed.
“The Place Commander of Lekki, Epe Express came with a person of his foot cut, he could not have on formal police boots anymore, he was limping to testify, he was a person of all those advisable to be attempted in this report. No point out of any one police person that arrived to testify.”
He also raised inquiries about the individuals the report claimed ended up killed for the duration of the Lekki Toll Gate shooting.
“There is not a one individual on that checklist which relatives or relation arrived to testify that he died that the spouse and children arrived to testify. No proof of where he died, no health-related certification, almost nothing and we assume that as a human being of conscience, I will abide by that report, that is why I cant feel that,” the lawyer reported.
He further claimed the Lekki Concession Company (LCC), which was indicted in the report, could not testify during the panel’s sittings.

Owonikoko said that some members of the panel ensured that the Lekki Toll Gate was not reopened 4 months just after the incident, inspite of the LCC trying to current evidence to vindicate the business.
In accordance to him, a member of the panel, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa was absent for most of the proceedings and experienced a pending circumstance in court docket difficult the legality of the toll gate.
“Adegboruwa can’t give an aim report on the Lekki incident because he was usually absent through the sittings which were held on Saturdays. He already had a situation in courtroom, challenging the legality of the toll gate. It is worrisome that he also signed off on the report, specified that he was largely absent. It will make the report tainted.”
Owonikoko extra, “There are nearly 40 materials discrepancies in that report, like awarding economic compensations to men and women who have been claimed to have died, who by no means died. They later came out to say that they did not die. How would you make that kind of error to award tens of millions of naira to any person, boasting that he has died? He was even a witness and in the report, they awarded him N15 million. What form of report is that? The report is not fantastic for Nigeria.”
