Oxford suspect’s parents ignored son’s troubling texts

The moms and dads of the Oxford Higher Faculty capturing suspect understood that their son was frustrated and heading down a risky and violent path, but they dismissed his “troubling” texts and other purple flags, failed to get him assistance and paid interest to their individual life as an alternative, such as obtaining extramarital affairs, the prosecutor disclosed in a new courtroom submitting Thursday.

“The defendants had information prolonged in advance of Nov. 30 (six months prior to the taking pictures) that their son’s only pal moved at the close of October, that the household pet died, that their son was sadder than normal, and that he was sending his mom disturbing texts about his condition of brain,” the prosecution wrote in a Thursday courtroom submitting. “Instead of paying out attention to their son and obtaining him aid, they bought him a gun.”
