Maryland police arrested a Tesla driver final 7 days for allegedly hitting a crossing guard with his car or truck in advance of fleeing the scene – but movie from a neighbor’s security camera would seem to get in touch with those expenses into issue. 

The incident happened Thursday morning in Glen Burnie, a suburb south of Baltimore. A female crossing guard with the Anne Arundel County Law enforcement stopped visitors so a few students could cross the avenue.

The driver, whom they discovered as 32-year-aged Joseph Hernandez, then fled the scene, law enforcement stated. A close by officer pointed out the driver’s license plate and Hernandez was arrested. 

Hernandez was set in handcuffs in front of his girlfriend and her boy or girl ahead of he was taken to jail, WJLA described. He is billed with failure to render assist to an injured person, reckless driving, and negligent driving as well as second-degree assault. 

Hernandez has stated all the costs versus him are absolutely bogus – and footage from a neighbor’s stability digital camera appears to be to again him up.

Hernandez inches the car or truck backward and it seems that he and the crossing guard exchange terms. He drives absent and the safety guard appears unharmed. 

WJLA questioned the crossing guard Tuesday morning about her promises. She explained, “anything speaks for alone. I know what took put.” 

The station claimed that the crossing guard explained to them off-digital camera the blue Tesla didn’t exactly “hit” her, but “touched her entire body, the back again of her leg.” 

Hernandez’s lawyer, James E. Keatts, instructed Fox Information the video vindicates his shopper.
